Opening of new centers
With pride and great excitement, we announce the opening of two new Child Development and Family Centers in the towns of Icaño and Tacañitas, in the province of Santiago del Estero. With these new openings, we now have a total of 14 Centers in operation, reaffirming our commitment with children and families in northern Argentina.
Each opening represents a key step in continuing to provide support and guidance to an increasing number of families and children living in situations of social vulnerability. Both ceremonies were deeply moving and brought together members of the community, volunteers, the teams who will lead these new challenges, and, most importantly, the families who will benefit from these programs.
We currently implement three main programs through which we support families and children:
Family Child Development Program:
We promote the comprehensive development of children aged 0 to 5 who are experiencing malnutrition or are at social risk, helping them reach their full potential and access a future with greater opportunities.
Pregnancy Program:
We provide support to pregnant women in vulnerable situations. Expectant mothers receive medical check-ups from healthcare professionals and participate in sessions to prepare for motherhood. We also organize practical workshops where mothers create clothing and toys for their babies.
Vocational Training Program:
We offer a range of workshops that provide women with both theoretical and practical skills in different trades, while also creating spaces for peer support, connection, and mutual encouragement.
In addition, all our programs include a cross-cutting approach to family support and healthcare, through which we provide high-quality medical care, ensuring early diagnosis and referral for any detected conditions. This approach allows us to identify the underlying risk factors affecting families and respond to root causes.
In a challenging context, where economic difficulties are hitting northern Argentina particularly hard, we remain committed to on-the-ground work and to each of these communities. The opening of these new Centers shows that, despite obstacles and barriers, it is possible to create opportunities and support more families in building a better future.
These new Centers will expand the reach of our programs, strengthening our impact in the fight against poverty and child malnutrition.
We thank every person who makes these achievements possible and who continues to support our mission to transform realities, accompany more families, and help break the cycle of poverty.
